You don't need a powered hub to run a keyboard, joystick, and memory stick at the same time. I've got mine set up that way now.
Instead, just get a bus-powered hub (one without a power adapter) and use a good Raspberry Pi power supply and use that to run the power. Using the same hub to power the computer, then feeding the hub from that computer just seems dangerous.

USB-Keyboard, Joystick and USB-Stick are together about 0.150AMP, the c64 needs 1AMP. there is no need for an active, powered usb hub

I don't have one but there some keyboards that have a usb port on them, you could put your memory card/stick in there.
