Today we got interesting announcement for 2019, regarding FULL SIZED THEC64 and more. Bear in mind that it was wangled under pressure of sudden troll-attack at Facebook mini group. So, don't measure narrative form or insist on some other minor detail. Yes, some people can be a little harsh and not very understanding. I'm glad to see the Retro Games team experiencing some success with the Mini in spite of it all and wish them well on their upcoming projects. As I've said in my blog and on other forums, it's because of the Retro Games team that we see Commodore once again underneath the Christmas tree this season (okay the C64Mini is not a true Commodore product, but close enough for my point). That's quite the accomplishment.

Great News about the full sized version but not entirely happy with the comments … Excuse me but the reality is they gambled \ Invested the backers pledges to create the mini ( A Product nobody asked or pledged for ) and it could have all gone horribly wrong leaving us with nothing as well. Although I appreciate the Free Mini I think the pledgers earnt it and it shouldn't be considered a favour .. More like compensation … Where would they be without the £75k which has probably earnt them a good 750,000 or more by now. Really happy everything is going well for them now but they should be grateful to us and not shouting how lucky we are

It is not that they gambled (except if you're looking at every business as gambling), they were forced to make it that way, because "somebody" invested £500000 against that £75K to destroy and/or takeover whole TheC64 project. It was lunatic move, but there was nothing RGL was able to do about it. Eventualy, they got justice at court (but not the money for expenses, money that RCL own them), but it was too late. It is kind of miracle that they produce anything in this circumstances. Agree with that they should be grateful to community but frankly - they are. e.g. They weren't forced to give us Galencia, do they?

It was a great Move ..Genius in fact but still a gamble as non were informed until after the fact. But just to be clear that's not my gripe and I actually fully support what they did It was just the comment that was a little like " stop moaning and Be grateful we gave you this " kind of thing which got my back up. I would back these guys again tomorrow and even donate more if needed so if im annoyed about something done or said I will speak out. Sorry but that's the way I am.

Agree with you fully, but read it again - here is disclaimer; it was unofficial statement, forced under bad circumstances and I ripped it off w/o permission of Paul Andrews to do it:

Ye your right I over reacted. I can see that now and the reasoning behind their comment although a simple ( Get Stuffed you Trolling Scumbags ) would have had my backing In all honesty as a campaign I cant fault it. There have been updates pretty much every week and the Mini is awesome To be fair they can be as late as they like considering it never reached its goal in the first place which no doubt some don't take into account .. But they kept going so good on them ..

its just a prototype at this point, so i assume nothing. my mind is making sense of what the pictures are telling me
after taking a close look at those pictures i think that white usb cable is connected to the keyboard. its threaded thru the mini usb opening. it seems there is no pcb inside, but on the side i can see 3 usb ports. it could be that those usb ports are indeed a usb hub.
back in december when the first pictures were shown there were some comments from users, on some of the questions THEC64 gave some reactions.
If this could be used as a USB keyboard on a connected system you would gain a larger market. As I would buy one for home and office.
· THEC64 THEC64...this question gets a like
Will there be a case, keyboard, and an interface for those of us who have a Mini?
· THEC64 THEC64... more details as we progress in the new year

Its hard to tell much from the pics except they haven't hacked the case to bits as originally planned which gets my vote. Personally I love my mini and would have backed that alone so anything from here on is a bonus for me

Nice one man! :-)
I get the feeling that everyone's enthusiasm (me included!) is building up as they get closer and closer to releasing the maxi.

I am not getting one, what I am going to do ... I have 2 C64 Mini's and going to use one and put in my custom C64 case (I made and remove the C64 motherboard for save keeping... ) with the Keyrah V1 I bought years ago,the joystick ports work on the side now cause they added the number pad to the C64 Mini's firmware.. ), I only use emulators now,the original hardware cost to much to keep working if it fails. Like the Amiga hardware. So these devices are a good idea.. it saves using the original hardware.

Yes, I've been using my C64Mini to help save some wear and tear on my C128 and 1541s.
I'll have to get a Keyrah sometime in the future. If my C128 craps out some day and I have no more replacement parts for it on-hand, I'll have to resort to an emulator system for it, too.

Got mine this morning Pretty awesome
Would you mind opening it and taking a few detailed pictures of the board(s) inside? I'm particularly interested in knowing if it has the FEL boot switch as the mini does.
