This C64 case with working keyboard was originally designed and intended to come out years ago but the owner of Commodore USA passed away. They're now available for sale again and look incredible. The keyboard is even modified by adding some extra keys such as separate cursor keys, and the case comes with things like internal hard drive and SSD mounting brackets. Really good looking quality piece of equipment. Even the cardboard box it comes in looks top notch and of Commodore nostalgic origins.

Here's their latest video update. Apparently they're now going to be able to actually legally use the real Commodore name branding, offer different color cases including transparent, sell fully equipped units with things like a Pi already built in, etc.

This last video is a few days older than the prior one but talks about further things they have planned such as a Commodore 16 case.

ETA Prime video on this case. He's one of the best channels on how to retro gaming emulation for many platforms in general, especially using a Pi, so I'm always excited to see videos where he delves into Commodore stuff.

Do you not know that these were made by CUSA - Commodore USA in 2011, the people that made Commodore OS Vision, it was called Commodore C64x en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_USAI liked the OS and cause it was only on 64bit, I had a old IBM 32bit PC I wanted it to run on so I made a 32bit version of it called COS 32Bit 1.3 in 2012, it used Linux Mint as it base, it was customised version of Linux Mint, I made a group on Facebook about it... www.facebook.com/groups/commodoreos32bit .

I especially like the transparent case with transparent keys, the C16 case, and the white case that's going to have cream colored keys. It reminds me of the 64C.
They need to offer keys with the petscii graphics but I'm sure somebody sells these as vinyl stickers to put on keys.
I really like the fact that they added extra keys for things like separate cursors without needing to use a shift key.
Eventually I'll get one of these cases and throw a raspberry pi into it using multiple OS boot options in a menu at startup. Being able to emulate things like a spectrum or Amiga would be great with that keyboard.
One thing I'd definitely do is add Atari style joystick ports to the side in the proper place and there's already multiple ways to do this with a pi or pc motherboard.
There's also PC dongles out there that allow you to use things like a 1541 drive via USB so it opens up that option as well.

Indeed. I've had my eye on one of these cases for a while now. I'm just waiting to see what additional options will be available through the Kickstarter campaign. If I'd known they were available a couple of years ago, I'd probably have bought one instead of a C64 Maxi.
They are rather expensive, but at least you can see where the money's been spent. The spherical doubleshot keycaps are particularly nice. I hope RGL are taking note. I'd rather pay a bit more for quality.
My long term plan is to buy one of these cases, and put a MiSTer in it. That should enable me to emulate all my favourite 80s home computers with almost 100% accuracy.

Another company making various Amiga model cases, keyboards, keys, and other stuff. If you look on their channel they have a bunch of videos covering it all.

My Retro Computer LTD is now offering 30 percent off for early backers of production runs by paying $5 to become a VIP member. Pretty good deal. This also helps them get visibility better on Kickstarter so more people have a better chance of seeing it.
They also just announced a new modern Commodore branded LCD monitor is going to be made!

Quick glance at new Commodore cases they're coming out with. They all look great but that first quick glance of the clear case one with neon lighting really stands out to me. Note the Commodore branded hard drive dock on the side. Very cool.

My Retro Computer Ltd has a new Linux (?) based Commodore OS frontend out for their ITX board based Commodore clones, or of course you could also run on your PC. It looks phenomenal! Watch it power up and things like the special effects when he moves around windows from a C64 to an Amiga game or closes windows for starters. Crazy 3D effects.
