Not sure if this is the spot to post this so I apologize if this is wrong.
Trying so hard to remember this game; I played it when I was like 10 back in the 80s. It was on Commodore 64 and it had a blue-ish overhead view, but wasn't completely top-down as I recall. It was a maze-type of game.
The goal was to get through the entire level, and there were 3 that I'm aware of. (I always got to the 3rd but died quickly on that level)
When you navigated through the maze there was a 'centipede' bad guy that you could only kill from the front or the rear.(one or the other) and it always followed a pre-determined path. In fact all of the bad 'guys' followed pre-determined paths and that was part of the difficulty. The bad guys would move from Spot A to Spot B and back and forth. You had to be aware of where they were moving so you wouldn't get hit by them.
You'd have to run down a hallway and hope that the bad guy was moving away from you or if it was coming in your direction you had a dead-end you could run into (because they wouldn't follow you). Then the centipede would come around and usually walk right in your path so you'd have to be aware of that thing as well. I don't remember any 'power ups' or anything like that - it was literally just you getting through from A to B. The very last level had a pretty large open space which made it much more difficult because there wasn't any rooms/corridors to follow; the bad guys were all over the place and you had to make sure you didn't stay in their path for long.(or else you'd get hit and die)
Sorry I can't remember much else...I'm not even sure this was the 'main game' or it was bundled with a few other mini-games with it. I have vowed to find that game and finally beat it no matter what it takes. My adult brain is ready to finally beat that challenge down.
Anyone can call it out I will pay it forward and stick around to give my personal knowledge of all games I've played.
