Using PCUAE and booting into Linux mode doing a 'cat /proc/cpuinfo' I see CPU has only 2 cores, but the C64 Maxi has a 4-core CPU, so 2 cores are disabled at boot.
In effect after sending these commands:
echo 1 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/online echo 1 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online
htop shows all 4 CPU cores running.
So perhaps enabling these cores could speed up things on the Maxi when using other PCUAE modes?

It because THEC64 Maxi is based on THEC64 Mini that has a A20 in it that has 2 cores only, the other 2 cores are not needed and I already activated the other 2 cores in PCUAE where it needs it.
