I've seen some YouTube footage about the US version of the mini, and it seemed to me that the chassis colour has been "fixed", it is now very close to the original, as opposed to the initial EU version which had a prominent "yellowed" nuance to it.
My own "breadbox" C64s were (still are: not much yellowing going on luckily) the same colour of the American Mini, as well as all my friends' machines that I can remember of; I don't think I ever saw any "creamy" PAL C64 in the flesh. This was anyway the later production, with the slimmer case (mine are 1984-1985). I do prefer this colour anyway.
For a moment I thought you had a C16 haha! Nothing wrong with having one as I have a fair few and a couple Plus/4's for good measure.
Nice to see the Codemasters CD box set, I can't get mine working guessing it might be modern CD players being quiet compared to the old 1980's one. It's stashed for another day any way.
I guess one of my holy grail's is Ninja Remix on cartridge and only because you can have awesome SID music by a flick of a switch lol. I also have an original SEALED copy of Turrican on TAPE that has never been used, I've never thought about putting a price on it or what it might be worth as it's just nice to have - as you do. I paid a pound for it many years ago and as I already had it it's stayed sealed. Nice to have a Turrican box without any marks on it any way.
You look busy with your collecting though and some cool stuff in the collection like Giana Sisters which goes without saying. That Electron is waiting for you to load Thrust haha! I never liked the C64 version of Thrust - music was ace tho, was better on the BBC and what I would say is the original. I didn't like the color's of the C64 version but love Thrust as a game.
