Browsing through the files in the US-Image that was posted some days ago, I saw that there seems to be an undocumented Parameter for the SID engine. All TSG files feature a line that Ends with sid6581. Going through the binary I see that there seem to be more Parameters. They are not used in any TSG, but Maybe somebody wants to Experiment with These and add them to the TSG/CJW builders? sid8580d or sid8580 could be useful. (Especially the 8580d "digiboost" model if I understand the Resid docs correctly). I have at least one game (Zak McKracken) that currently has missing sounds (Footsteps Right in the first room). I am too lazy to Experiment with this Right now, but maybe that Parameter does something Good. Any Resid-Pros around here? Attachments:

Already tried weeks ago. The sid8580 command in TSG files simply doesn't work. I have Barbarian 2 and Giana Sisters that use the 8580 engine but the sound in mini results shrill.

Man, I got ALL excited when I saw this - now dejected that it doesn't appear to work.

it should be possible to save the SID config into a snapshot though

Already tried! Doesn't work! Snapshot files don't include the sid selection.

weird, it does save the sid engine, but not the selected sid? i'd consider this a bug
