Hi,
I saw in several places that the joystick competition pro is compatible with TheC64 mini... so, I ordered one and after connecting it it's impossible to make it work properly...
The problem is with the buttons assignement... there is any button that works as a "fire" button, so I'm unable to select a game, enter the menus, etc...
I'm using the latest firmware version... any idea about this problem?
Many thanks!

To get through the menus you still need the included joystick because especially the Main Menu button is not mapped to any button on the Competition Pro at all. Sorry.

i have both Competition pro usb. the one from 1998 and the new one. Both are recognized with the 1.20 firmware.
btw. is it possible to change the button behavior of the comp pro usb via cjm file? i accidently press the TL button often when i want to fire (It is so big ), and then the menu is popping up.
I just make a cjm-file with all buttons set to JF. But the TL button still activates the menu. Some ideas are helpful.

Nope, the Menu button is the one not changeable at all via CJM. Now that they mapped TL to Menu, it is inaccessible (Unless you patch the ROM of the C64 Mini itself).

sh#*#t ;-) Ok, so i have to modify the gamecontrollerdb Here is the entry: 030000000b0400003365000000010000,Speed-Link Competition Pro, a:b1,b:b5,back:b3,lefttrigger:b0,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,righttrigger:b4,start:b2,x:b6,y:b7,platform:Linux, but I don't understand all of the (underlined) entrys, since the joystick only has 4 buttons and 4 directions. These are 10 entrys
edit: this configuration is only for the old CP USB.
The configuration for the new CP extra 20th anniversary looks like this: 03000000790000001c18000011010000,SPEEDLINK COMPETITION PRO Game Controller for Android,a:b0,back:b1,lefttrigger:b3,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,start:b4,platform:Linux,
I tried to put start on b3 and lefttrigger on b4, but then the menu pops up when you press fire. Not funny
with try and error i managed to disable the menu button completely (after some unsuccessful tries like above to enable the menu on another button).
button mapping is now like this: a:b0,back:b1,lefttrigger:b3,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,start:b2,

For the Speedlink Competition Pro Anniversary Edition you have to add the following entry to the gamecontrollerdb if you want to have the menu button on the right triangle button: 03000000790000001c18000011010000,SPEEDLINK COMPETITION PRO Game Controller for Android,a:b0,back:b4,lefttrigger:b3,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,start:b1,platform:Linux, You can do this as a permanent change by using the X Windows Mod from this post. thec64community.online/post/4157Thanks to jj0 for the tipps!!
