Hi,

I have spent a few hours scanning the web and forums and wondered if it is possible to get the C64Mini to act like the c64maxi and provide the Vic20 Mode.

I tried flashing the latest TheC64 firmware to the Mini but it boots as if it is a mini with no Vic20 mode.

I would like to do this to take my Vic20 with me on travels, Maxi is too big to pack.

Apologies if this is located somewhere obvious to veterans of the forum but I have not found what I am searching for yet.

If anyone can signpost the correct thread or how to achieve Vic20 on the mini I would be very grateful.

It needs the check in the latest firmware disabling.

I think the latest firmware is the same for the mini and TheC64 but it reads something from the Nand maybe to determine whether to enable the Vic20 part or not.

It might be checking this at firmware installation and unpacking only the relevant game files for the mini and a different menu.

Alternatively the firmware is identical and checks at runtime whether to grant access to the extra stuff in TheC64.

Is there a way to check what is in the memory of a mini flashed with maxi firmware file?
