I want to remove the RetroGames splash screen that is shown while booting THEC64 Maxi. Instead I want there to just be a black screen until the classic mode is booted. Is there a firmware already available that can do this, and if so which one? If there isn't, can someone in here create one for me if I pay you? Or do you know someone who might be able to help me?

i made a mod (free of charge) no warranties but should be safe.
install the firmware update to install. all the mod does is copy a blank startup screen image/sound made it in 2 steps to make sure its working (don't have a c64 maxi)

Wow! Thank you so much! I don't have the Maxi yet, because I didn't want one unless there was a mod like this available first. Now that there is, I will order one and try your mod. :-)

I have bought TheC64 Maxi now and unfortunately your mod did not work. After applying the official theC64-1_3_2.bin firmware upgrade to fix various bugs etc, I tried applying yours. When I hit "apply", it sits there for about 5-7 second (no upgrade animation etc shown), then the whole device just reboots (with the splash screen and opening tune still intact). So I will be returning my device for a refund as I only wanted it without the splash screen. Thank you anyway for your efforts and kindness in trying to help me.

You can do this yourself using FEL mode and a serial terminal connected to the c64 main board...then you can change the music and screens... Also I have the C64 maxi firmware for an orange pi lite/pc which could be easily modified.

sorry about it didn't work, don't even have a c64 maxi (cant seem find one even) c64 maxi probably has the startup splash screen screen or something in a different folder.
