I found a way of using CBM File Browser and FIBR and making THEC64 run the Sidplay 64 from within a directory like your using a SD2IEC with it, you need the old Carousel(Red Quark v1.0.5) for this to work RGL has removed this from the latest version, Carousel(Red Quark) v1.3.2.
This way you can run any prg,p00,D64,D81 and D82 as well so any image but not Crt, that has to be run from within the File Loader but you have access to the whole directory of the USB Stick, so like its one big image...
THEC64 Mini/Maxi Carousel(Red Quark v1.3.2), the (USB) File Browser and Media Access don't allow you to change directory inside of CBM File Browser, go into the root of the filesystem from within BuildRoot 2016 via the theC64 emulator.
I have been playing around with v1.0.5 for a while now..
I compiles the old Carousel (Red Quark v1.0.5) and that allows you to do this from running it as a game on the Carousel so you are able to use the USB Stick like a SD2IEC.
What I did was...
Compiled Red Quark v1.0.5 into the64 file and added it to PCU so it would work with PCU-BGS, it don't work with PCU-FUGS cause it can't see the update file on the USB stick at the moment.
Added the CBM File Browser to the 0_fav folder as a game, added FIBR to the root of the USB Stick, (Make sure you have Sidplayer64 in the extragames folder on the root of the USB Stick first and a folder for your sids you want to play) then run CBM File Browser with PCU and boot Carousel v1.0.5 then start CBM File Browser then when CBMFB is loaded keep pressing CD so you keep going back a directory until you can't go back any more and on the root of the file system, now go down to your USB Stick, it called "MNT" and press fire on it and go down to FIBR(I load FIBR cause you can't see all the file names in the directory properly, some are PETSCII symbols in CBMFB) now load FIBR inside it, ones its loaded you should be able to go thought the directory like you do with a SD2IEC device, and now load sidplayer 64, the sd2iec version then you be able to go thought the directory where your sids are and play them from that directory in Sidplayer64..
I will be puting this in the next release of PCU more work needs doing to it first before that happens.
I be making a video to show you soon..
